Parent Teacher Meet 9th Mar 2012


                Parents Teacher Meet was held at IT seminar Hall-4th Floor, SCOE The meet started at 2.30 pm with speech of Principal Prof. S.N.Telifollowed by speech of Head of DepartmentProf. V.P. Jadhav and academic in charge of college Prof . Sorte.

               
At the beginning of speech principal sir addressed objective of PTM to take valuable suggestion from parents in various areas such as academic ,extra curriculum activities and other facilities provided by institution for overall growth of the institution in short duration.

                        

HOD and faculty members felicitated first three toppers from SE (IT) & TE (IT) with certificates and bouquets to motivate students. Toppers shared their views about success. Teachers met the parents to share progress of students in terms of Attendance, Term Test performance, University examination performance and involvement of students in other activities. Teachers made parents aware about co-curricular activities like project presentation, paper presentation, technical seminars organized by department to improve technical skills of the student and how department motivate students to organize technical as well as nontechnical programs (under the students associations SAIT) to improve students event management skills .





INDUSTRIAL VISIT 4th Jan to 13th Jan 2012


                Industrial Visit for BE, TE, SE was held at Visual Media solution pvt. Ltd, Chandigarh. Objectives of Industrial visit was to learn more about fashion CAD, animation,web2.0 software and their utilization in the industry

               
During industry visit, student learnt about various web designing software like dreamviewer, about software project development life cycle and its implement, various animation techniques such as Adobe flash etc. The student experienced the industrial life ,technical threads and updates and also learnt how team work, leadership, dedication is essential in technical world.

               
The student came to know that how they can make the websites more dynamic, attractive, effective using animation in various sectors such as advertising , education ,entertainment and medical application and in virtual reality and related technologies.

               






INDUSTRIAL VISIT 9th & 11th Mar 2010


                Industrial Visit for SE IT was held at Reliance Knowledge Centre, located at Dhirubai Ambani Knowledge City, Koper Khairane, Navi Mumbai. Industrial Visit started with the introduction and history of Reliance Group. It was followed by a session detailing about NNOC (National Network Operation Centre) where hundreds of employees are continuously monitoring the status of RCOM network across India and sorting the issues promptly on call.

               
Next in slot was the presentation by Mr. Jagdish on Telecom Sub -Sea Cable. This presentation covered minute details ranging from components of optical fiber till how fault inside sea bed is detected and rectified. At last a presentation on Call Centre was arranged. Presentation briefed on basic functions of Call Centre and what add on features, facilities and customer support services provided by Reliance Call Centre.





WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY 15th Apr 2010


                Seminar on Wireless Technology was conducted by Mr.PamuKumar Swamy working with NewTech Computer Systems. He has 15+ years work experience on Networking.


                Seminar started with the types of Wireless Technology and why is it preferred over UTP. Sir briefed on the frequency bands and Standards for Wireless Technology. Wi-Fi was discussed in more detail. Evolution of WLAN gave deeper insight about basics of Wireless Technology. Applications of Wireless Technology made us familiar to the use of Wireless Technology in day today electronic devices; viz. Security Systems, TV Remote Control.


                Live Demo on Wireless Network Connection over 2 laptops was more enriching in terms of practical knowledge. Issues related to Installation and Site design were discussed in detail. Seminar ended with concern regarding Heath Issues caused by Wireless Technologies.





Student Activities

WEB DESIGNING 27th Mar 2010


Winner: Druven Mehta (TE-IT) WebSpectrum was the web designing contest which was held as a part of the Wings, a National Level Festival of Government College of Engineering, Aurangabad. The top 30 selected contestants were given a time of 3 hours to build a website based on the abstracts they had submitted.

The web site designed by Druven Mehta is SmartBid.
SmartBid is a reverse auction website designed for Cell Phones.

Technologies used to Design Website:

  • Server Side Scripting: JSP
  • Database: MS Access

CYBER SECURITY AND DIGITAL FORENSIC


                Seminar on Cyber Security and Digital Forensic was held at Pillai’s Institute of Information Technology, Panvel by Mr. Sanjeev Kapoor and Mr. Rahul Kapoor.
                Seminar started with the introduction and significance of Cyber Security and Digital Forensic in today’s world. It was followed by interactive session where participants could put forth their views and perceptions. They briefed on safe security techniques practiced by organizations to minimize successful cyber security attacks.
                Live demo on hacking made the session more interesting. It gave better insight about how attacks are made. Seminar ended with a Quiz Competition. It consisted of questions based on topics covered during seminar. Below mentioned IT students were Winners of the quiz competition:
